The Legacy of the great Nigerian Afro-Beat Legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti have been compared many times with the music journey of the likes of Wizkid, Burna Boy and most recently, Falz.
Apart from the fact that Fela created Afro-beats and took it all out to the world, his music reflects the fight for the fundamental rights of common Nigerians in the face of bad governance.
As history had it, Fela faced many tribulations and died in the struggle of using music to combat corrupt leaders.
Wizkid and Burna Boy are being compared to Fela due to how far they have taken Afro-beats in the absence of the Afro-beats legend.
While Falz on the other hand is doing well in terms of using his music to expose the ills of the Nigerian society just the Fela way. If you’ve listen to “This is Nigeria” and “Talk” by Falz, you’d understand my point.
The question of the day is
Among Wizkid, Burna Boy And Falz, Who Do You Think Fela Would Be Very Proud Of Now?
Let’s hear from you
